ADVISORY

Plain advice for the hard parts.

AI advisory for small business, plain help on what AI and automation can actually do for you, and what's still hype. One client at a time.

    How I work

Every engagement starts with a free 30-minute call. We use it to figure out what's actually going on and whether I can help. If I can't, I'll tell you who might be a better fit. If I can, I'll come back with a clear scope and a flat price before any work begins.

Work is paid by the hour or by the project. No retainers. No long-term contracts. No decks. I show up, do the work, and stop when it's done.

    What "small business" means

Roughly: between 5 and 50 employees, between $500K and $20M in revenue, owner-operated or family-run. If you're bigger or smaller, we can still talk, but the work I do is shaped around businesses at this scale.

    What I won't do

I won't sell you AI tools. I won't take a cut from vendors I recommend. I won't build something complicated when something simple would work better. I won't promise outcomes I can't measure.

    What it costs

Pricing is shaped to fit each situation rather than published as tiers. Engagements range from a single hour of advice (small, focused questions) up through multi-week projects. After our intro call, I'll send a clear scope and price, and stick to it. The reason I work this way is honest: a $200K-revenue solo operator and a $15M, 40-person business have genuinely different needs, and the right price reflects that. See the Services page for what kinds of work I do and how long each typically takes.

    Common questions

    How does pricing work?

Every engagement starts with a free 30-minute call where we figure out what you actually need. After that, I send a clear scope and a flat price, usually within 24 hours. Pricing reflects the specific situation rather than a published tier, because a solo operator and a 40-person business have genuinely different needs. There are no surprises after the scope is agreed.

What's a free consultation actually like?

Thirty minutes, video or phone, your call. I ask questions about your business and what you're working on. You ask me whatever's useful. At the end, I'll tell you honestly whether I can help, what it would look like, and roughly what it would cost. There's no follow-up sales pitch, if you want to move forward, you tell me.

How do you choose which tools to recommend?

Based on what's right for your specific business, your existing systems, your team's skills, your budget, and your goals. I never accept commissions, referral fees, or vendor incentives, so my recommendations aren't influenced by who's paying me. The only person paying me is you.
